Planning for 7.0

With 6.9 out in the world, our collective attention has already turned to 7.0. Core contributors, together with Matt and Mary, had a call to discuss ideas and projects. There was shared excitement about this release, even if it’s just another number. This post acts as a gathering point for contributors to share what they are starting to work on and to find known areas they can contribute to. There will be another more tactical follow up with release schedule and responsibilities, this one is about the initial scope.
