1. Weekly Updates

In the past 7 days,

  • 1145 tickets were opened
  • 1142 tickets were closed
    • 1118 tickets were made live.
      • 33 new Themes were made live.
      • 1085 Theme updates were made live.
      • 1 more was approved but are waiting to be made live.
    • 24 tickets were not approved.
    • 0 tickets were closed-newer-version-uploaded.

Note: These stats include both the new theme tickets and updated theme tickets as well. And data from themes trac.

In the last 7 days, block themes stats:

  • 19 Block themes are currently being reviewed.
  • 15 The Block theme has been live for the last 7 days.

2. WordCamp US Contributor Day

WordCamp US will be held on August 26–29, with Contributor Day on the 26th. We encourage all attendees to join the Themes table. Also, if you’re interested in leading the Themes table, please let us know. You can contact @kafleg or the themes team reps.

3. Open Floor

During the open floor, @kafleg shared that “Some of the live themes in the repository have promotional text in the theme screenshot, which is against the guidelines. So, I request  theme authors to fix this.” He added, “Our guidelines clearly state that: The screenshot must not look like an advertisement. The reviewer can subjectively ask you to change screenshots if they find that it is not appropriate.”
