WP News Desk provides you with all the latest WordPress news from around the world. It showcases the latest posts and podcasts from over 100 of the top WordPress resource websites.

The Idea

The idea behind this website is simple; it provides a central space where you can keep up to date with all the latest happenings in the WordPress world. It started as a project undertaken by Mark Zahra from the WP RSS Aggregator team as a means of showcasing the power of the WP RSS Aggregator plugin and its add-ons. That’s right, all the website’s content is powered by just RSS feeds.

Are you stealing other people’s content?

No, we don’t steal other people’s content for one simple reason – it’s completely unethical. What we do is bring together the latest posts from various sources into one location. Each imported post is displayed in the WP News Desk blog with a title, featured image and a very short excerpt. When a visitor finds an article that he or she likes, they simply click on the post and they’ll be taken directly to the original source’s website.

All readers are redirected right back to the original post, ensuring that the original authors and sources get the credit and traffic that they deserve.

How do I build a site like WP News Desk?

As mentioned before, we built this site with WP RSS Aggregator. But you’re looking for a clear tutorial on how to build a similar aggregator site, right? We’re happy to oblige, in fact we created a tutorial on building an aggregator site with WordPress that shows the exact process we used to build WP News Desk.

Can I suggest a new source?

Sure! We’re always looking for ways to improve WP News Desk and to bring you, our readers, the widest variety of WordPress-related news around. All you have to do to suggest a new news source is to fill out this form.

If on the other hand, you can see your website/blog being mentioned on WP News Desk and you’d like it to be removed for one reason or another, please get in touch with us here so we can discuss things further.
