WordPress Performance Trac tickets @westonruter shared that, as of r64585, eliminating script/style concatenation has landed in WordPress and is included in the 7.2-beta1 release. This retires the use of load-scripts.php and load-styles.php and closed more than 10 Trac tickets, several of which were over 10 years old. Script/style concatenation was only used in the login/admin for core’s own assets.
